Cheap songhits lyrics
Ever bought one of those cheap songhits off the corner newstand? The ones that are printed on newsprint using photocopier ink? The ones that have a blurry photo-collage of the band-of-the-moment featured on the cover? (Band-of-the-moment = hit song playing on Eat Bulaga.) Sure you have.
The funny thing about these cheap songhits is that they invariably turn out to have been published by a Mom-and-Pop backyard operation. Mom does the typesetting, Pop does the printing. And Inday does the lyrics transcription while cooking adobo and keeping an eye on JunJun, who is six-month-old and cannot yet contribute to the family business, but just you wait until he turns three.
